The Saviour We’ve Received

When we are being rescued, it matters who our saviour is - what is their character? What are their intentions? Are they rescuing me for good or bad? This week we look at who our Saviour is. Paul uses the words of a lovely early Christian hymn to teach us about who our Saviour is. Jesus is Lord over all creation and Lord over the new creation - so what does this mean for us? Wisdom We’ve Received

This week we continue to look at the prayer Paul prays over the Colossians. He reminds them of the wisdom and knowledge that they have already received because they accepted Jesus. They were being bombarded with so-called ‘wisdom’ from other sources and so Paul reminds them that the only thing we need is Jesus - all our wisdom comes from God, who gives it freely, generously to all who ask. Cries for Revival
Revival! God’s Kingdom here on earth as it is in heaven! These are things we would like to see in our communities. But do we truly long for this, do we cry out to God for His presence and for the Holy Spirit to come and shake things up?
